Happy Zero Waste Week! To celebrate this eco-centric week, we have decided to put together another list of people using social media for good! (Find the first part of this ‘Low Impact Instagrammers’ series here.) Giving recognition to wonderful people, doing wonderful things, will always be at the heart of Vevolution, and we love doing it.
A Considered Life
Sophie is a low waste, plant-based blogger that promotes simple living, and she has the most satisfying Instagram feed we have ever seen! Her photography is super clean and beautiful. One of our favourite blogs of hers is ‘Zero Waste Swaps I’m Not Making’, definitely give it a read! Check out Sophie’s Instagram here.
Kristen is one of the most real YouTubers that we ever had the pleasure of stumbling across! Her videos revolve around ethical living, fashion and veganism. We absolutely love her ‘Creating A Fashion Film In 48 Hours (using ethical fashion only)’ video - the outcome is actually brilliant! Kristen spoke at Vevolution Festival last year, where she spoke about fast fashion, and human rights in the fast fashion industry. Watch the talk here. Check out Kristen’s Instagram here.
Nour is the super inspiring travel-lover who quit flying for the planet. Her Instagram is centred around sustainability, nutrition and self-love. Not only does she have a YouTube channel, a blog, and clothing line, but 3 e-books too! We are super excited to have Nour involved in this year’s Vevolution Festival! Check out Nour’s Instagram here.
Madeleine’s YouTube videos are seriously binge-worthy. She posts affordable and simple vegan recipe videos, vlogs, and videos on how to be more minimal and sustainable. Our favourite videos are, of course, her foodie videos like ‘Week Of Low Waste Vegan Budget Meals’. Also, we are super proud that Madeleine has recently brought out her very own book - Minimal: How to simplify your life and live sustainably. Check out Madeleine’s Instagram here.
Stories Behind Things
Ella and Jemma are the masterminds behind Stories Behind Things, a ‘storytelling platform that celebrates conscious and mindful consumption’. They also run an event called The Big Clothes Switch’, where over 100 people switch their pre-loved clothes with new ones. Ella and Jemma spoke at Vevolution Topics: Ethical Fashion & Beauty 2018 about their mission to make sustainable living easy. Watch the talk here. Also, check out the Stories Behind Things Instagram here.
We are making this year’s festival the most sustainable one yet. One of the big changes we’ve made is adding the Low Impact Ticket, which will emit the goodie bag if you would prefer that! Also, this new ticket is our most affordable yet.
