Plant-Powered Female Led Businesses

The plant-powered business world is full of incredible women that are owning the ethical and conscious movement. Whether it be publications, food businesses, brands, and more, there are women out there absolutely bossing it - you just need to know where to look.

With just under 2 weeks to go until our first She Loves Plants event, AND International Women’s Day, we thought it would be a good idea to round up some of the inspiring plant-powered female led businesses out there.

Kinda Co.

Ellie Brown is the founder of plant-based cheese brand, Kinda Co. Her one woman business based in a small flat, has now grown to a full commercial kitchen in East London with a team of her own! 


In 2001, Natalie Dean created her cruelty-free fashion brand, Beyond Skin. She is a true champion in the vegan fashion world, and is delivering beautiful, stylish items that never compromise on style! 


Grace Regan is the absolute foodie genius that is bringing plant-based Indian street food to the people of London. After not being able to find a decent takeaway curry place in London, she just decided to do it herself. Spicebox has now gone on to opening up in Walthamstow! 


Planted are a plant-based food start-up founded by the wonderful Molly and Gabriella. They cater weddings, and events, and always put on the most vibrant and beautiful spread. 


Laura Callan is the editor and founder of Bright Zine, a super diverse and inspiring vegan lifestyle magazine. 


Melody Kane is the founder of NoKaneNoGain, an intense and fun fitness boot camp for those who want to get fit in a high energy environment. 


Ruby Raut is the founder of this multi award winning period underwear brand. WUKA were the first business in the U.K. to bring this sustainable and accessible option to women.

She’s Crude

She’s Crude is owned by YouTuber, Jess Greenash. It’s a business selling beautifully designed gifts that promote body positivity, and the vegan lifestyle.


Rebecca Walker is the founder of Bexfast, a plant-based food brand all about creating delicious and natural breakfast pots to the masses.

LaBante London

Vanita Bagri is the founder and CEO of LaBante London, a sustainable and vegan fashion brand. Their luxurious handbags are even made using recycled plastic bottles!

Metanoia Wellness

Patricia Bloj is the founder and chief wellness officer of Metanoia Wellness, a leading-edge wellbeing programme in the workplace. She is a champion of mental health, and helps companies improve productivity by taking employees on a transformational journey. 

Vilda Magazine

Sascha Camilli is the founder and editor-in-chief of Vilda Magazine, an international digital vegan fashion magazine. The magazine inspires people to live compassionately, whilst still being stylish. 

Rubies In The Rubble

Jenny Costa founded Rubies In The Rubble after she realised the huge scale of food waste in the UK. Now her ‘condiments with a conscience’ are sold in huge supermarkets like Sainsbury’s.


Since its inception Vevolution has been about celebrating inspiring women who are creating positive change in the world. She Loves Plants is the UK’s ultimate gathering for driven plant-powered women.

To celebrate International Women’s Day we are bringing together the badass plant-powered girl gang for a day of inspiration and community.

This isn’t any ordinary gathering. It is about helping girls get inspired, be confident and rock the world in 2019. All are welcome - this is not a women-only event.
