How Do We Change The Global Food System?

What will it take to transform the global food system?

Undoubtedly this is one of the biggest challenges facing our generation. Over the past decade it has been fantastic to witness the growth of the plant-powered movement. Yet, there is still a long way to go for plant-based eating to become the world diet of choice.

We constantly inspired and thankful for foodie innovators who are challenging the dominant food system. Initiatives like The Future Of Food project which systematically assesses the impacts of climate change, economic development and changing dietary habits on the global food system, and analyses the effects of current and future policy approaches. Our friends at Made In Hackney, a plant-based community kitchen who believe everyone should have access to healthy, affordable food that's good for people and planet; and startups tapping into circular economy principles like Optiat who create skincare products from quality ingredients (coffee grounds) that would otherwise be discarded.

In under a week on the evening of Tuesday 13th February we will be hosting Vevolution Topics: Food Innovation at the Trampery In London. We will be gathering together entrepreneurs, chefs, campaigners and creators to tell their stories and share ideas with each other about how we accelerate the growth of this mindful and compassionate way of eating and one that protects our furry friends.

There's something to inspire everyone at Vevolution Topics: Food Innovation. Whether you want to learn how to cook great food on a budget, develop recipes and products for leading plant-based food companies, inspire people to make plant-based food choices or perhaps start up your own vegan food product business.
